RRR Zions!

This last weekend 12 of us participated in the Red Rock Relay Zion run. I had an amazing time. I couldn't have had a better team to run with. We laughed and laughed and ran our butts off and just had a wonderful experience. There is just something about this that makes me feel so strong!
This is just an example of the crazy weather we had. During Natalie's run (she was the first runner in our car) she got pelted with hail. OUCH!

Audrey finishing up her first run - I love the look on her face!
Adri and Natalie bringing me in at the finish line!
This is the exchange at the end of my first run. I always try to sprint to the end - I sprinted and basically threw the bracelet at Audrey - totally didn't mean to do that!!! And yes, it looks like I might just die haha

Big thanks to Brett's brother for hooking us up at Olive Garden for our pre-race carb load :)

Poor Teresa from our van grabbed a kid sized sleeping bag. We all got a really good giggle out of it and she said she had the warmest legs!
Darrin was our driver for most of the legs (except when he was running obviously). I am so happy to have my handsome husband run these with me. I have a blast with him and he makes me want to run even faster so I can do as good as he does!

I don't have a ton of pictures, we took a few videos that I will try to post later. I stole the "Jump" picture from Adri's blog -- Thanks for the extra photos Adri! :)

We had an awesome support system from Adriennes family - with their help and some of our own family and friends we were able to win 2 of the facebook contests that were held. We now have 2 Moab teams in the works!!! I can't wait!

First day of School (again)

Today was Xander's first day of Kindergarten. He is my last one to be in school now! WHOA! It was so cute taking him to class and getting him all set up. He got a tinsy bit sad right when he figured out I was going to go, so I had to sneak out :(

The older kids were excited to be in pictures again hehe. I love that Tre was right there with his arm around Xander, letting him know it was ok.

First Day of School

The day has arrived! First day of school for 3 of my 4 kids (Kindergarten starts next week).

Haiden is in 6th grade - I can't believe that!!!

Tre is now a big 4th grader!
Miss Raegan is in 3rd grade.

Xander doesn't start until next Monday but he wanted to participate in the picture taking too...

Karate

I signed Xander up for Karate. There was a deal to get 2 private lessons, today was his second time. It is so cute and funny to see him out there doing his thing, I just sit there and giggle! They let him do a board break today - Check out his face :) He was shocked that he did it! Sorry I couldn't figure out how to edit the video to make it a; shorter and b; not sideways - so you just get to watch it the way it is!

Kid Wash

Found this in "Family Fun" magazine. It looked so fun so I made Darrin load everyone up, head over to the Home Depot to get supplies and then come home and put it together. With a little help from the dollar store we snazzed it up. The kids had a blast! Even Darrin got in on it. :)

And just for some extra fun Grandma Smith went through!

July Festivities

*Warning* Lots of pictures!

Ok, these first ones were in June :) It is amazing how fast the summer goes!

I ran a 1/2 marathon on June 25 with Natalie. It was really beautiful! I felt great and we ran the whole thing without stopping! Next up I want to do another 1/2 marathon in August but really a lot faster :) Then on to RRR in September! Weeee!

Kids running through the sprinkler.... Or not, they were all a bit chilled and too afraid to get wet. So they ran around the very most outside edge of where the water was :) it lasted oh.... 4 minutes.

Baseball... we have had a lot of games and tournaments this year, not quite as many as last year but still a lot. Haiden has done well and I really like the team he is on, lots of good boys. It has been fun watching Haiden grow and learn. I love that he is so athletic - most sports just come very naturally to him and it is nice to see him do well :) (Proud mommy!)

For the 4th of July we used to always go to the "summer cabin" in Fairview. We've
missed it the last 2 years because of a baseball tournament. This year we were able to go late Saturday and stay through Monday. We always like the parade they have down there, it just has a nice small old fashioned feel to it. Lots of people but not crazy like the 24th of July one up here. I wouldn't go to that one if you paid me! The kids had a blast getting the candy and various other prizes thrown off the floats. We all love going on 4wheeler rides and the kids like to go hiking
with Darrin. There were a lot of pretty wild flowers, Darrin saw a red fox, we all saw some deer
and lots of chipmunks and squirrels. I'm really glad we were able to go down and enjoy some family time!
This totally cracked me up. Not sure if you can read the sign or not but the sign is advertising for "So and So CHEVROLET" Yeah, he's driving a Ford Mustang.... Oops!
