Clinic Day.

Bla. That is all I have to say. The end.

Just kidding :) Rae did pretty good at clinic today - she was happy and only cried for a second when they put her tube in. Then we realized we forgot to give her the antibiotic that she is supposed to get once a month. So the option was, to re-poke her or do the antibiotic through a breathing treatment. I thought that the breathing treatment would be so much better. Well, I was WRONG! She completely freaked out. Hated it does not even come close to explaining how she felt! She lost her voice she cried and screamed so much. Dang it! She is better now and acting fine. Her numbers have dropped from an ANC of 4000 last week to 1800 today so we will be watching that and see what happens with her chemo. Oh and of course she is starting steroids again so this week should be fun!!!

Tomorrow she has a dentist appointment, sometimes I think she just can't catch a break!

Girls are fun :)

After begging me all day to do this - I did it. She wanted to look like Skylar did. I am sure her dad will want to kick my butt! Oh well, she is happy and I think it is cute! He can just be glad I didn't do it to the boys......... Yet!

Skylar's Dance

My niece came over today so I could do her hair and makeup for her dance recital. Just so you know, I LOVE!!!! doing stuff like this - I have a lot of fun thinking of different fun ways to do hair and makeup. These are pictures of her (And Raegan who HAD to be in the picture too). I can't wait until Raegan is in dance again so I can do this to her! (one of her dances is to Love Potion #9)

A bunch of sickies!

My kids are all sick. Yep, all 4 of them. Everyone has a cold/cough. Dangit - isn't it supposed to be summer, where nobody is sick? Oh well, I am just crossing my fingers that we get NO FEVERS! Hopefully it is a quick acting cold and they call all resume normal activities soon. Wait, did I just say that? Do I want them returning to their normal activities? Am I crazy?! Let me re-phrase that, hopefully they will all feel better soon!

I just can't win.

So after finishing painting the hallway today I decided that I had better paint the front room as well. The reason I decided to paint today is that I didn't want to fold socks. I know, there is no real logic there - just know that I REALLY hate folding socks! So after finishing the front room and cleaning up the paint stuff, I go into the family room to find this:

Hard to see exactly what it is, so I'll tell you. It is fried rice. I guess Xander decided to destroy the place - then see the mop, I suppose he decided to try and clean it up. Anyone ever tried to clean up wet rice? Well, let me just tell you - it doesn't happen! So needless to say, bedtime came a little early tonight :) To loosely quote Bill Cosby "the reason I have 4 children is because I do not want 5". I know, I know - I love my children very much, I just don't love the messes they seem to LOVE to make for me. Sigh.

We have a winner :D

Technically my sister Andrea wins because she called me first (didn't comment), then Darrin noticed and didn't want to be the winner so Mandy posted her answer - hehe. Because I am nice I will give ALL of them a scentsy car freshener! (and because I have a ton!) Thanks for noticing guys!

Counts are in...

Counts are in and fantastic. Her ANC is 4,000! WOW! I don't think it has been that high in over a year! So, we are starting her chemo back up at 50% dosage and we'll see where that takes us.

Ok - I have a free scentsy car freshener for the 1st person to correctly guess what is different in the picture above. Anyone???

This picture was from the other day and I thought it was super cute - Raegan was sitting inside of a drawer coloring a picture - hehe we have desks, tables, couches etc. and she chooses the inside of a drawer as the place to do art.

Super Anniversary Date!

Darrin was very very sweet and planned out our entire anniversary as a "date night"... or a date day I should say - anyway... He picked me up at home (he arranged babysitters and all!!), took me to lunch at citrus grill, then drove us over to see Iron Man (not bad!). Then we went and checked into our room at the Armstrong Mansion. This is a really nice historical mansion in Salt Lake. After that we headed over to dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse - all I have to say to that is YUM! He also had roses delivered to our room. How sweet is that I ask you!?! I had a wonderful time and it was a lot of fun to spend time with just my husband. I'm telling you what, he is the best man ever!

Just in case you are wondering about the photo - hehe, this is a picture of him last halloween - he dressed as Ace Ventura (for those of you that couldn't tell right off the bat).

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!

I really can't believe we have been married for 16 years! It has gone by so fast. I married the most amazing man. I am thankful every day that he chose me to be his wife! Thank you for being the best husband in the world! These are just a few pictures over the years :) brings back a lot of fantastic memories. I LOVE YOU DARRIN!!!!!!!!!

Counts are in....

Raegan's counts are in and they are super! Her ANC is 2,200!!! Ok, yes it is probably a "false" number because of the neupogen shot that she got but I'll take it. It is a heck of a lot better than 0! They are not starting her chemo back up until we do a re-check on Monday.

OUCH!

Haiden had to have a tooth pulled today - it was a baby tooth but it didn't want to come out. Check out the root on this sucker! Yowza! He did really good, he just played the lego star wars game that they had and didn't even feel it. Now of course he thinks he is bleeding to death :) He can be tough when he tries hehe.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!!!!!!!

Hines, er Hinesina

Ok, my kids crack me up. Raegan and Tre` decided to put clothes on Hines today. They are Raegan's "build-a-bear" clothes. Pink tank and satin shorts (and yes, even a hole for the tail!) Hines was less than thrilled to say the very least. Made me laugh though!

#1 Champions!!!

Haiden's team the Dodgers won the championship tournament tonight. Big thanks to Grandma Smith for watching Raegan and Tre so I could go to the game!! It was a lot of fun watching the kids. Big NO THANKS to the weather - I froze my butt off out there!! (It is June right???)

This team only lost one game all season -- against us and we only lost one game all season -- against them so you can imagine what a fun game it was to watch! The final score was 17 to 5. The kids all played really hard and I think they all had a lot of fun. We are trying to decide if we should put Haiden on an all-star team. Sometimes it is hard to tell if he is playing because he likes it or if he is playing because we like it. I would love to see him play on the all-star team but only if it is what HE wants to do.

Also, on a totally unrelated note -- know anyone that wants a dog? We have a darling 8 month old rat terrier named Hines. He needs a new home because I can't stand another pair of ruined shoes or vacuum. Yes, you read that right - he ruined my vacuum as well as my brand new replacement to the replacement shoes. We only have about 9 million dog bones laying around for him to chew on but I guess a vacuum cord is much better. So nobody in my house seems to know what they are supposed to eat, I have a kid that eats dogfood and a dog that eats vacuum cords.

Getting Blood

Raegan and I spent a very long day at the clinic getting her blood transfusion today. We got there at 8am and didn't get home until 3 this afternoon! Raegan loves going to the clinic, she gets to do a lot of different crafts, games, puzzles and movies. Of course she also gets 100% of my attention as well so I am sure that is part of why she loves it so much. (and the wonder woman song is for my Rae, I certainly thin she is a wonder woman - she has gone through a lot in the last 18 months and she is one tough cookie!)

Hungry???

So in the grand tradition of my kids being completely wacko... Today after school Haiden says "mom can I have a snack" to which my reply was and is always "as soon as you clean your room". Well I know that he has been sneaking food so I go upstairs to talk to him about it. Mind you, in our house at any given moment there are cookies, crackers, chips, fruit snacks, Popsicles some sort of home-made treat, you name it - we probably have it. So what might I ask is he sneaking to snack on???

That's right folks, DOG FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yuck, blech, plahhhh, pteweyy, gross!!!!! Help me out here folks, please someone tell me this is a normal thing..............................................

It is a good thing I love these kids so much!

DDR

My kids have noticed that we have DDR and Guitar Hero - so of course they are now obsessed with playing it. Haiden is actually pretty dang good at GH, and Tre is really fun to watch on DDR, ok so is Raegan, she is about a count slower than the game hehe. It is about the only exercise I get so I guess it is good that they want to play it a lot huh!

Forgive the blurry picture - I think I was laughing at my kiddos dance moves.

Long day!

Raegan had clinic today - we were there for 5 hours! ARGH. She seems much more moody today than she usually is. I am not sure if it is from her back poke or the new meds that she got, or maybe a combination of both. Her counts have all dropped so now we are on 50% dosage for her chemo, hopefully they will not drop anymore.Tre is also grumpy and moody - not sure what the deal is with him today... He is having a fit here because I took away his DS because he was having a fit (see the vicious cycle here?).

Haiden is happy - because I let him play after school.

Xander is mischievous as ever - notice the devilish grin?

Oh and can I just say I am super not happy with the school right now!?! I asked for A or D track, C being 3rd choice and B being absolute last choice, guess which one I got?! B!!! And... to add insult to injury I asked for morning kindergarten and got afternoon?! What is up with that I ask you! I called the school today and it doesn't seem like my chances of getting it changed are too great - of course A and D are full up.

Sheesh gripey blog today huh!
