Zoo Day.

After taking 5 (yes 5) kids to clinic for Rae's check up (she is doing great!), I decided we would go to the zoo. Did I mention I took 5 kids?!

Is there anyone out there that doesn't pose by the elephant??
Xander doesn't - he didn't like the noise it made.

Actually they were fairly good- Tre wanted to leave about 3 minutes after we walked through the gate and probably said "are we going home yet?" about 5,003,267 times.

Baseball

Look closely to the picture above, can you see the ball? (no the other team didn't catch it - it went to the fence!)

Well we are full into baseball season again. I have forgotten the camera pretty much every time Haiden has a game. This weekend he had a tournament in Idaho so I made sure to remember ;) The boys all did very well. The tournament ended up being canceled because of the weather but before that our team had won 3 games (we were the only undefeated team), we were also the team that let up the fewest amount of runs. I hope that the boys get the recognition from the league, we are waiting to see. Haiden pitched in one game and struck out the side (AWESOME!), the next morning he hit a home run. He seems to really be having fun playing. I didn't get any pictures of him pitching because the camera was not working correctly. He has quite a few more tournaments coming up so hopefully I'll catch it on one of those.

The Puppy

Meet Archimedes, our new puppy. I haven't posted anything because A. I am a slacker, and B. I felt weird about posting since Hines was killed. This is NOT a replacement puppy - we actually go him before the accident, but again I didn't post before and felt a little strange after.

He is a min-pin (same as Bernoulli) he has been a very fun puppy to have. He has a nice personality (albeit a bit feisty at times), is pretty smart so far and a good fit for our family. The kids absolutely adore him and I think he has actually been really good for them. If they don't smother him he will grow to be a fun member of our family.

Tuckered Out

After a long hard day of play, there is nothing better than taking a nice nap. However, most people prefer to take a nap in bed, not on the front porch.

Kids.....

What is it about a child and their curiosity for putting things in bodily orifices? We had the bead in Xander's ear, I remember as a child an unfortunate incident involving my sister and soap (don't ask) and last night, while watching a movie with the kids - I notice Raegan pushing something up her nose. It was a pop corn kernel. Why, I just have no other words besides Why? Fortunately we did not have to take her to the doctor, she was able to farmer blow it out. Much to her and her brothers delight. GROSS.

The home run king

Just a quick post to say how proud I am of Haiden. He hit 2, two, dos, double, ni, etc. yes *2* home runs tonight in baseball. I loved seeing the opposing teams coaches telling the outfield kids to back up - wahoo!!! GO HAIDEN!

Goodbye little friend.

Today has been a sad day for our family. Our dog Hines got hit by a car and was killed. We are all heartbroken. He was a funny little dog and even though we complained about him we all loved him very much. It was fun watching him look through the window at us, having him jump 12,000 times trying to get our attention. Bouncing a golf ball down the stairs and excitedly chasing after it.

Even when I wasn't nice to him he was always very sweet to me. Darrin expressed perfectly what I am feeling. He was a special dog, not the most obedient, not the best behaved, but he was happy. We didn't pay enough attention to him and I am very sad about that - as always after something like this happens you wish like crazy it would have been different.

The kids would fight over who got to sleep with him in his room and I know they are going to miss that. He was very patient with my kids and let Raegan put doll clothes on him all the time. We will all miss him very much.
