Sweet Kiddo

My kindhearted little girl just brought this baby in to me. Danobi tried to eat it and Raegan saved it. She is so cute. It is hard to explain to her that 1, I don't know what to do with this bird, 2, all I am thinking of is GERMS! and 3, it will probably not make it. I thought it was sweet that she brought it to me to fix. Hopefully the little guy can heal on his own.

Major Bummer!

We went to the state playoffs today and lost 2 games - so we are out.

I am really proud of how hard the boys played all year long. It was HOT out there and they got a little down on themselves. I hope they know that all of us parents had a lot of fun out there watching them play. I am excited for next year!

WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our team won both games today - the team we played was undefeated before they played us today - we shocked the heck out of them!!! Our kids played so hard and so strong. I am proud of every single kid on that team. What a fun day to watch these kids play. The first game was pretty intense - at the last up for us we were down by one, had 2 outs and 2 runners on bases and Haiden got up to bat - let me just tell you I was so excited, scared, happy, nauseated etc. for him - he hit and got on base and got a runner in to tie up the game. The next kid up was Baylor and he hit a runner in and we won - AWESOME! In the second game our kids gained confidence and started out strong and never let up. The other team seemed a bit dejected. They had never lost and didn't come out with the same confidence. We ended up winning in the 5th by 10 runs (if you are up by 10 at the end of any inning, the game is over. The second game we won by 10 points. The boys have really developed into great players this year. They are all hitting stronger, running faster and playing better in the field. Now it is on to State. WOOOOOO HOOOOOO!

Update: I found out today that Haiden had the highest batting average on our team for the tournament. His average is .887 after going 6 for 6 yesterday. All I can say is WOW!!!

This is my boy sliding into home again - so so awesome!

CHAMPION TEAM!!!!

(btw - I took 302 pictures so I spared you all by only putting these 3 on here!)

Baseball, baseball, baseball!!!

The last few days have been all about baseball. Haiden and his team are in the all-star playoffs right now. They lost their 1st game Monday, won their 2nd that evening, and won both games yesterday. They have another game or 2 today depending on if they win the 1st game or not. No matter what they are going to State. It is a lot of fun watching their team win. I think I have taken about 200 pictures. They are developing their skills and trusting each other. Haiden is really becoming a great player. The more confidence he gets the better he does. I am really proud of him and how hard he has been working. I am glad I am able to go to the games and watch but I am going broke paying for babysitters hehe. Here are just a few fun pictures of the games:

Fun Weekend

Tre and I were at his reading class yesterday so Darrin had the other kids. This is how they occupied their time:

Big brother teaching little sister how to hold the bat

Littlest brother being the ball boy

Look at that swing!

How's that for form?!

Xander's turn - look at the determination on his face.

Later in the evening we had Brett, Adrienne and their girls plus Mikayla over for dinner and games. Haiden really had a lot of fun playing with Mikayla - he has always liked blondes :) I was just certain that she was going to get hurt, she is a monkey! Of course we don't have pictures because I didn't think about it until today. Would have been good to havea picture of the little kids stacking up the yard chairs and climbing on them so they could climb the tree with the big kids. Thanks B & A for coming over - we always have a great time!

Fun on the 4th

We had a lot of fun at the "summer cabin" this weekend. We didn't leave until after Haiden's practice game on Thursday night (they won 10 to 9) so we didn't actually get to the cabin until almost 11pm. Traveling with kids at night is fun because they go to sleep, the problem is whenever you get where you were going they are WILD! It took a while for them to settle back down and go to bed. Friday morning we got up at 6ish!!!, had breakfast and went down to watch the parade. Thursday Ron and Pat went and put chairs out in our "usual" spot. Someone decided that it should be their spot instead and parked their car right behind the chairs!!! RUDE SUCKERS! They parked right in our line of site! The kids still had a lot of fun - so did we. We played "cosmic catch" while waiting for the parade - that is a fun game that just about anyone can play. We saw a lot of fun animals back at the cabin and went on a few small hiking adventures (what Tre called them). Then we finished off the night with my 4th of July cake (thank you pioneer woman!!!) and watched The Spiderwick Chronicles. All in all a good weekend! (Sorry, lots of pictures)
I absolutely love this picture of Raegan!
Haiden on an "adventure"

COME AND GET IT!!

Too busy getting parade candy to pull up his pants!! (notice Xander's clean shirt)

There are no words :)

Sorry - after fooling with and trying to put pictures where I want them (and having it not work) this is what I got :)
