Our Dogs

These are the other members of our family. The oldest is Bernoulli, he is 10 - yes, we know he is a little round in the middle! He is a fun dog, likes to go hiking with us (even though we haven't been in a REALLY long time), loves sleeping with Darrin, laying on Darrin, sitting on Darrin -- you catch my drift. He HATES being cold - which he is about 98% of the time -- even in mid July you will find him snuggled under a blanket.

Second is the HUGE dog Danobi. She is 4 years old. She is as Darrin says "our best dog" but she has to spend most of her time outside because she doesn't understand her size. She thinks she is a lap dog. She is a lot of fun to play with and loves to chase tennis balls and bark at people riding their bikes. She actually bit Darrin's dad on the butt one day - of course it was not funny at the time but I am sitting here giggling as I type this :) (shame on me!!).

Last is Hines -- named after the fantastic Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward #86. We just got him this past December. He is also a lot of fun and is a mix between my dog and Raegan's dog. He is still a puppy and chews on everything he can find. He is like the pesky little brother to poor Bernoulli, constantly wanting to play.

Just playing.

Not too much going on at the Smith house the last 2 days (shhhh, knock on wood or somethin - hurry before my kids decide to re-model the house or something). Raegan being the girly girl that she is loves all things dress up. So this is her "going to the store" look. Hehe, she looks like a Russian child don't you think.

Here is Xander (please ignore the stuff in the background- it is for the DI) he was being so cute this morning reading some books, of course he is sitting in the book bucket - after he took about 1/2 of them out and threw them all over my office (not super cute).

Tre

Ok, I can't believe I am posting again today - I'm telling you my kids will keep me on here 2 or 3 times a day for sure!

This is Tre. He is my 2nd child. He loves all things nintendo related. He has been playing Zelda with his cousin Zane. This is super cute in and of itself. Well tonight, as I was bathing Xander for the 2nd time today (don't ask) Tre decided to go over to talk to Zane about the game. Of course he did NOT discuss this with me so I am in complete and total panic mode trying to find him. I go out back - yelling TRE!, no answer, so I start out the front door, heart in my throat, ready to see if he is on his way to McDonalds again (again, don't ask!) when here he comes - Zane in tow. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Glad he is safe, I guess that is all I can say. As you can see from the picture he is VERY sad. Mostly because I grounded him from the nintendo. Sigh.

NEW PUPPY!!

Hahaha just kidding! it is Grandma Smith's puppy :D

Raegan LOVES anything that is a baby, puppies, kittens, babies, you name it. She is sitting on Grandma's lawn playing with the puppy and thinking life is just fantastic. Well, I guess life is pretty good when you are 4 huh.

For those of you that don't know, Raegan has leukemia and has her own site - you can check it out at www.caringbridge.org/visit/raegansmith

My kids

So, I was going to save this for tomorrow but I thought "what the heck" I am sure my kids will do something tomorrow that I will find funny. Today we are trying to clean the house. Ok, let me re-phrase that... I am trying to clean the house. Xander decided to amuse himself - he found a purple ink pad and proceeded to stamp himself. Legs, Arms, hands, you name it - it probably has purple ink on it.

Then Haiden came in my office. He is so funny, for as long as I can remember if he gets a McDonalds box he does this with it. We have a picture somewhere when he was about 3, riding around the yard in the little jeep with the box on his head.

HAPPY EASTER!!!!

We had a lot of fun at the "easter cabin" with the kids. We rode the 4 wheelers, went on an easter egg hunt, slaughtered a pinata - notice how Xander does it - "to heck with hitting it, if I just grab these strings everything will come out of the bottom!", also, you can see poor Dora, she was decapitated. The kids really love doing this every year.

This morning the easter bunny hid some eggs around the yard for the kids to find and then sneakily put the easter baskets on the couch while they were on the hunt. I think Tre` was the most excited because he got a power ranger movie - you see, Tre` has a whole imaginary family called the power rangers. Sometimes if he has done something that he is not supposed to he will say "but my power ranger dad told me it was ok". I'm not too worried about it yet, hopefully as he gets older it doesn't turn into "the voices in my head told me to."

Wall Art

The pictures of the arrows are from Tre. He decided to get a sharpie and write arrows all over the house. After being in trouble for it, we asked him why he did it. His answer was "so I would know where I was going!" How can you argue with that?!

The red paint you see, is from my youngest most active child. I was painting a border in Tre's room and had thrown the sponge brush away. Well, Xander got ahold of it and proceeded to paint EVERY wall in the upstairs hallway. This wall that you see is one of them that I could not get off. Sigh. Kids are great at keeping mom's busy!
