My fantastic husband.

I absolutely love sitting in my office listening to Darrin drum and sing. I find reasons to stay upstairs so that I can listen to him (maybe this is why my kids are always doing something that they shouldn't!). It is one of the things that I just love about him. He has a great voice and is a good drummer too! I think it is relaxing for him - a good way to de-stress after a long day at work.

Broken Tooth

Well, I had to go pick Haiden up from school today. He broke his front tooth. Of course it has to be one of his permanent ones! And it is not even a fun story he can tell his kids, he hit his head on his desk trying to think of something to write... hmmm... What next?

Here is the fixed tooth. They just glued the broken piece back on. Hopefully it will stay on!

Who says money doesn't grow on trees!

Ok, so it doesn't really... My sister thought it would be good to post "how to make a money tree" on my blog. This is a great gift for weddings. It is a fun way to give the new couple money - and you can giggle knowing that they have to unwrap every single dollar!

First, get a pot.

Get some Styrofoam and put it in the bottom of the pot - leave an inch or so from the top of the pot.

Put a dowel in the styrofoam.

Put some change on top just so it looks cute - plus it will help hold everything down.

Now the fun starts. Grab some dollars. I use $1, $2 and $5 bills, you can use whatever you want but you will need quite a bit so start small and see how far you get. Anyway, pinch them in the middle then wrap some plant wire around and twist.

You will need a round styrofoam ball for the top of the tree. Push the dollars into it and just fill fill fill.

Here's the finished product. As I said, this makes a great wedding gift, especially if you have a lot of people go in on it. You can put as much or as little on it as you want. You just have to watch what size ball you get for the top of your tree hehe the bigger it is the more money you will need to put on it.

Clinic Day!

Raegan did pretty good at clinic today - she only cried for a minute when they put her tube in. I think little by little she is getting more used to having it put in. Her counts are too good (again) but they are not going to raise her chemo until we check her counts in 2 weeks. Other than that she is good. She acts good, she looks good etc. Of course we start steroids today so that stinks. Oh well, such is life!

Pinewood Derby

Darrin, Haiden and Uncle Rick worked really hard on Haiden's derby car. Doesn't it look awesome! He didn't win, he was about middle of the pack (of 18 cars). I am proud of how hard they all worked on it. Darrin already has ideas on how to improve next years design.
